Lakeland College Makes it Four in a Row 4/12/08 -
Dallas, TX (April 12, 2008) - The Wisconsin Volleyball Conference secured it's fourth straight NIRSA Division I National Championship when #2 Lakeland College defeated #1 University of Illinois 25-22, 26-24.
Lakeland defeated #13 James Madison University, #15 Cal Poly and #3 University of Central Florida before meeting Illinois in the final.
Lakeland follows in the footsteps of Marquette University, winner in 2005, and UW-Oshkosh, winner in 2006 and 2007.
Lakeland College Grabs Both State Titles 4/5/08 -
La Crosse, WI (April 5, 2008) - Lakeland College walked away from the Wisconsin Volleyball Conference Championships with both the men's varsity and junior varsity championship titles. Lakeland defeated UW-Whitewater in the Division I championship match, while Lakeland II defeated UW-Oshkosh II in their three game championship match. UW-La Crosse B won the inaugural women's championship over UW-Oshkosh.

Wisconsin Volleyball Conference State Championships Held This Weekend in La Crosse 4/3/08 -
La Crosse, WI (April 3, 2008) - The Wisconsin Volleyball Conference will conclude its regular season schedule and hold its 16th annual WVC State Championship this weekend (April 4-5) in La Crosse. A total of 11 different colleges and universities will be competing for two separate WVC men's volleyball titles.

Five WVC Teams Finish in Gold Bracket of Hoosier Illini Classic 2/26/08 -
The Wisconsin Volleyball Conference sent six teams to the 2008 Hoosier Illini Classic, a tournament which a WVC team has won for the past four years (UW-Oshkosh 2006-2007, Marquette University 2004-2005).
The streak was broken this year, but of the six teams, five of them finished in the gold bracket.
#1 Oshkosh lost their first club match of the year to #11 Central Florida in the semi-finals to finish tied for 3rd place with #4 Lakeland College who lost to eventual winner #2 University of Illinois.
#24 UW-Whitewater was knocked out of the first round of the gold bracket by #10 Virgina Tech to finish tied for 9th.
UW-Oshkosh II made some noise at the tournament, coming in as the 31st seed out of 34 teams, they knocked off University of Cinncinnati and #6 Utah Valley State to win their pool and claim a spot in the gold bracket.
They were knocked out by #22 Michigan State University in the first round for a 9th place finish. #23 Marquete University took second in their pool, which featured #2 University of Illinois, but defeated Purdue University to get a spot in gold.
They lost their first match of the day to a very hot University of Illinois II team to finish 17th.
